What does the resid; command do to my results?

I had troubles with the steady state of my NK TNT TANK model so I used your advice of using resid; before steady; to see the problem with my model.

After a small change it worked, but it only runs when the resid; command is there. If I delete that line, the model crash with the error “steady has NANs”.

I do not really understand if resid; affect my results or is safe to use it. I attach my code
