Understanding resid command

Hi, everyone
I have a problem with my model. My model runs when I put the resid command before the steady command but when erase it the model doesn’t run. What the resid command doing here? I found out some explanations in the Dynare Manual but I can’t undestand the diference. I wish that my model runs without the resid command so I will share the mod file.

As it shows in the dynare manual This command will display the residuals of the static equations of the model, using the values given for the endogenous in the last initval or endval block.
The model can run without the resid command.
