Pause and recover RWMH draws

Hi everyone, quick question: is it possible to pause, store, and resume estimation at the RWMH draws stage?

I’m currently a model with OccBin and the estimation has been running for about a week, and I’m only about 25-30% done. Unfortunately I need to leave for a trip soon, and it’s clear that the estimation won’t be done before then.

You could crash Matlab and use the mh_recover option. But you would loose all draws not yet saved in an mh_file on the disk.

That would restart all the draws again wouldn’t it (but save the mode – which thankfully didn’t take so long)?

As I wrote, it would restart all draws not yet saved on the disk. You could check what has already been saved to the metropolis subfolder.
