Matlab to Julia

I learned that Matlab significantly raised their prices and many institutions are moving to cancel their subscriptions. Is there a guide to switch from Matlab to Julia Dynare? I realized I only use Matlab for Dynare and it seems like a societal waste at this moment…

The most straightforward solution is to switch to Octave, which is free software and a drop-in replacement for MATLAB.

The version of Dynare for Octave has (almost) full feature parity with Dynare for MATLAB, and has exactly the same syntax. If you are under Windows, there is even no need to reinstall Dynare, the same installed version works with both MATLAB and Octave.
