Start with the simplest version of the model and thoroughly check

  1. the timing of the variables, particularly that of the endogenous state variables.
  2. all equations for mistakes like sign errors or wrong bracketing
  3. if that does not help, try different parameter values, i.e. if it’s just a parameterization problem.
