Error when run dynare example

Dear all,

I’m a new dynare user and when run dynare example of NK_baseline_steadystate.mod, Error always come as follows,

Error NK_baseline_steadystate (line 36)
NumberOfParameters = M_.param_nbr;

I really can not understand why and it confused me long time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

With kind regards.

That is not the full error message. Please provide the full one.

Really thank you for your reply, professor jpfeifer.

The full error message is as follows,

The number of input parameters is not enough.
Error NK_baseline_steadystate (line 36)
NumberOfParameters = M_.param_nbr;

I constructed a DSGE model with financial frictions like CMR 2014(Risk shocks)

So I must compute the steady state values of model include functions with probability distributions like follows,

I am wondering if I must specify a steady state file(like NK_baseline_steadystate) to compute the steady state values of model. or if there has any other methods to compute steady state values of model with probability distributions easier.

Thanks again for your reply. Thank you.

  1. Again, that is not the full verbatim error message.
  2. Yes, you will need a steady state file as CMR did.

Really thank you for your reply,professor.

I know the future direction is to wrok on the steady state file, I will try.

Thank you!
