Dynare estimation reporting

Hello,

I’m taking my first steps in Dynare and I’m trying to estimate a simple AR(1) process using MLE. However, I’m having trouble understanding the output I get from dynare (what is lambda? why it seems that it runs several sequential optimization problems? etc). Is there a resource I can look at to interpret the reports Im looking at?

I guess you are referring to the output of the mode-finding with the default mode-finders. If you are really interested, you can check out descriptions of BFGS and line search to understand what is going on:
