Beginner in Dynare

Hello,

I am a beginner at Dynare. I am interested in using DSGE models for my research and possibly dissertation. However, i am confused as to how to use Dynare. Specifically, as to which equations I should incorporate under the command and which I should use under “steady state command”. Much help is appreciated.

If there are any links that show a step by step breakdown, that will be awesome to have!

The model-block takes all relevant first order conditions and definitions. They describe the dynamic model. The steady_state_model-block, if you use it, provides an analytical steady state, i.e. the solution to the static version of the dynamic model equations.
