Timing for interest rate/rent

On Willi Mutschler’s website, the Euler equation U^c_t = \beta E_t[U^c_{t+1}(1-\delta + R_{t+1})] is written in dynare as follows: UC = betta*UCp*(1-delt+R);

But I have seen other books use UC = betta*UCp*(1-delt+R(+1));. In a simple RBC model, both works. So I guess it would not matter much in complex models as well. Thus using either R or R(+1).
