Smoothed Shocks after estimation in Dynare

Hallo everyone

After estimation, dynare often displays a figure, titled: Smoothed Shocks, as the attached file Smoothed Shocks.pdf (6.7 KB)

Can anyone interpret the term, ‘smoothed shocks’ for me? how compute it? why not call as ‘estimated shocks’ instead of ‘smoothed shocks’?
