Dear Professor Johannes,

I am using examples and other files [https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare/tree/master/tests/risky\_ss](https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare/tree/master/tests/risky_ss)

I have installed MinGW64 Compiler.
But I am getting error give below:

Undefined function or variable ‘dr\_np’.
Error in dyn\_risky\_steadystate\_solver\>risky\_residuals\_k\_order (line 325)
gu1 = dr\_np.ghu(i\_fwrd\_g,:);

fvec = feval(func,x,varargin{:});
Error in dyn\_risky\_steadystate\_solver (line 127)

Error in resol (line 144)

Error in ex (line 222)
info = stoch\_simul(var\_list\_);
Error in dynare (line 235)
evalin(‘base’,fname) ;

Please guide me on this.
Best Regards,
Shafi

Which of the mod-files did you run? Or do some of them work? And which Dynare version are you using?

Thanks, it is [https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare/blob/master/tests/risky\_ss/example1\_risky\_3.mod](https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare/blob/master/tests/risky_ss/example1_risky_3.mod).

and others with 3rd order perturbation give the same error.

Hello sfaf,

could you find a solution to the problem? I had the same issue when following the example provided Michell Juliard.

Best,
Ben

That is not an official feature and I don’t think it will work with `order=3`. @MichelJuillard Are there any plans of implementing this?

At this stage there is no plan to implement it.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply. Does that indicate that it might work at order=2?

I just thought it is already implemented because in one of the example files that can be found here:

> <https://github.com/DynareTeam/dynare/blob/master/tests/risky_ss/example1_risky_3.mod>

the final lines are

stoch\_simul(order=2,irf=0);

options\_.risky\_steadystate = 1;
stoch\_simul(order=3,irf=0);

Thanks for the clarification and all the insightfull replys in the forum.

Best,
Ben

The issue is with the `k_order_solver`, which is triggered if `order>2`. `order=2` should work
