Question with "RANK Condition not being satisfied"

Hi,

I come across the message “RANK Condition not being satisfied” after running my dynare file with the command “check”. I have two related questions.

  1. I note that even when “RANK Condition not being satisfied”, dynare still is able to compute the irfs and the theoretical moments under the command “stoch_simul”. I could not understand how this could happen. And are those results reliable?
  2. Is there an indicator that suggests whether the RANK Condition is being satisfied, and where does it store.
