Dear All,

This concerns dynare 3. What are the global variables that tell what is the maximum lag and lead in the model? ykmin_ and ykmax_?

Correct. But this concerns only the endogenous variables. Exogenous variables have a time scale defined by xkmin_ and xkmax_
This source of confusion is suppressed in version 4
