Hi Michel,
Looks like Dynare 4 does not run files with extension .dyn. Only files with extension .mod are run. It would be nice to allow for .dyn files to run as well.

I can’t reproduce the problem.

Of course Dynare doesn’t add automatically the .dyn as it does with .mod
and you have to specify

but that was the same in version 3 I believe

Dear Michel,
Thank you for the answer. I have now managed to run files with extensions .dyn in dynare version 4, but only after explicitly adding the extension as you showed. But this is not required for version 3.

OK. the behaviour is now identical to version 3. No need to add .dyn or .mod file. If both files exist, Dynare executes *.dyn
The modification is now in SVN
